This invited talk delivered on 12/12/2025, to the Medical Directors’ Forum of the NHS Confederation focused on the relationship between neurodivergence, serious mental illnesses and violence in a small number of patients. It examined systematic review evidence in this area and discussed the therapeutic dilemmas for clinicians and services in delivering safe and effective services that give a good patient experience.
